“You Are My God”
Psalm 63: 1-8
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO US THAT GOD IS GOD?
IS IT JUST A MATTER OF GOING TO CHURCH?
WHAT CAN GOD EXPECT FROM THOSE THAT CALL HIM “MY GOD”?
GOD CAN EXPECT THAT WE WOULD SEEK HIM. “HIS WILL” V. 1-2
WE WILL SEEK HIS WILL FIRST AND ONLY.
WE WILL SEEK HIS WILL WITH ALL OUR SOUL.
DEUTERONOMY 4:29-BUT IF FROM THENCE THOU SHALT SEEK THE LORD THY GOD, THOU SHALT FIND HIM, IF THOU SEEK HIM WITH ALL THY HEART AND WITH ALL THY SOUL.
WE WILL SEEK HIS WILL IN ALL THINGS.
2. GOD CAN EXPECT THAT WE WILL WORSHIP
HIM. V. 3-5
WE WILL WORSHIP HIM IN PRAISE. AT ALL TIMES.
HEBREWS 13:15- BY HIM THEREFORE LET US OFFER THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE TO GOD CONTINUALLY, THAT IS, THE FRUIT OF OUR LIPS GIVING THANKS TO HIS NAME.
WE WILL WORSHIP HIM WITH OUR WALK.
WE WILL WORSHIP HIM IN SATISFACTION.
3. GOD CAN EXPECT THAT WE WILL PURSUE HIM
ENERGETICALLY. V. 7-8
PHILIPPIANS 3:12 (AMP) NOT THAT I HAVE NOW ATTAINED [THIS IDEAL], OR HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE PERFECT, BUT I PRESS ON TO LAY HOLD OF (GRASP) AND MAKE MY OWN, THAT FOR WHICH CHRIST JESUS (THE MESSIAH) HAS LAID HOLD OF ME AND MADE ME HIS OWN.
HE IS OUR HELP.
HE IS OUR SHELTER.
HE IS OUR STRENGTH.
